Lab diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically the same as mined diamonds—just created in a lab environment instead of the earth. Moissanite are a different gemstone in their own right, they just bear a striking similarity in appearance and so are frequently compared. They are both stones that will last lifetimes of daily wear and are perfectly suitable for engagement and wedding rings.

We know it is trendy to go thin but we craft all of our rings with a 2mm band by default. We design all of our rings to be heirloom quality pieces, not merely to last only a few years. All of our rings come standard with a width and height of 2mm and we do not charge extra for "extra gold" as we want to encourage all our clients to choose higher quality settings.

For rings with 2.5+ carat stones or ring sizes 7+, we recommend selecting the 2.2mm band width option, under the Add Customization Section on each product page!

Gold wears away over time and if you resize your ring, that also thins the band so you want to ensure that you have enough gold to see you through years of wear with an investment this important!

We custom cut the vast majority of the diamonds used in our jewelry in order to be able to cut the most brilliant diamonds. This gives us control over the faceting pattern and allows us to offer the most superior cuts that minimize or eliminate undesirable diamond traits like the bow-tie effect, seen in elongated cuts.

There is an enormous variation in the quality of lab diamond material grown on the wholesale market nowadays, due to the influx of new (and inexperienced diamond growers). Frankly speaking, there's cheaper lab diamonds and more expensive lab diamonds available on the market for jewelers and consumers to purchase.

The reason for this is because there's numerous ways now to shortcut the growth of lab diamonds; doping them with elements like boron, speeding up the growth cycles, reusing diamond seeds, and beyond.

Many of the cheaper lab diamond material available on the market is grown using shortcuts. The problem with the shortcuts is you end up with growth defects: blue, gray and brown color tinges, strain, striation, cloudiness/haziness, and slushy-looking stones.

That's why you'll see stones with the exact same 4C's, at hugely varying prices. It's not that suppliers were confused when they priced them, it's that the quality was different and they were priced accordingly.

No, we use brilliant cut moissanite in all of our rings.

Crushed ice or crushed ice hybrid stones can look incredible in direct sunlight/artifical light but always have a very hazy/cloudy in appearance when in normal or dim lighting due to moissanite's double refractive properties. Regardless of the skill of the lapidary; the properties of moissanite combined with the nuances of the cut will result in foggyness. If you prefer the crushed ice look, we recommend looking at lab diamonds.

Since creating each detail of your custom design takes time, it’s important to consider the production timeline before planning a proposal. Our engagement ring production time frame takes approximately 6-8 weeks for completion. We have a small but very skillful team and this timeline can sometimes extend 1-2 weeks longer during the weeks around Christmas so please plan in advance if you're planning a winter proposal! It is well worth the wait for the perfect forever ring!

Our jewelry is sent in a giftable luxury suede and velvet jewelry box and shipped inside a discreet plain shipping box. However, the package requiring a signature sometimes can raise suspicion.

As with all fine jewelry, we recommend taking off your pieces when you work out, shower, swim, sleep, clean or do anything manual where you exert a moderate to large amount of pressure or force to your hands.

Water does not impact the diamonds, moissanite or settings of our rings, but the buildup from shampoo and chemicals in pools and salt water can erode the alloys in your setting.

The easiest and most effective way to clean your ring at home is to soak it in warm water with a few drops of Dawn dish soap for 30-60 minutes and then removing build-up with a soft bristle, baby toothbrush.

Great question! Engagement ring insurance and warranty are very different.

Many jewelers offer a warranty with your ring purchase, which can include things repairing any manufacturing defects, ring cleaning, polishing, inspection, and replacing minor stones. It is not a suitable alternative for jewelry insurance, as it does not include coverage for loss, theft, wear and tear or severe damage.

It depends on the style, but most of our styles can be. We evaluate each project on a case by case basis dependent on the ring style and the size change desired. Many rings have sizing limitations, which is why we strongly suggest being sized by a jeweler or with a metal ring sizer before ordering. Using a string/paper/plastic sizer is not as accurate as using a metal ring sizer and often results in incorrect sizing.

Rings with no pave typically can usually be resized up to 2 sizes.

Rings with pave present anywhere or side stones are often times able to be resized less, sometimes no more than half a size and so please reach out to us if you have a resizing request.

Most rings should only be resized 2-3 times in their lifetime and so we always recommend sizing your finger with a metal sizer at least 3x before ordering and wearing your ring for a couple weeks/months before resizing to ensure you are confident in the change you are wanting as fingers often change sizes with the seasons/temperature.

No, full eternity bands cannot be resized. Any rings that have full pavè around the entire band cannot be resized. We strongly recommend getting sized with a metal ring sizer before placing an order.

We recommend sizing your finger at least 2-3x with a metal sizer like this at different times of day or for free at a local jewelers; often times fingers change sizes depending on the time of day, after eating, working out, and the temperature/season (most people tend to be 1/2 size larger in the summertime). It's very important to accurately measure the ring size after proposal since most rings should only be resized 2-3 times total in their lifetime (each resizing is like a minor surgery, it is best not to do it over and over again). 

We typically post rings that we capture photos/videos of; if you would like us to not post your particular custom or semi-custom ring, simply just reach out and let us know! We are good at keeping secrets!

For our signature design rings and our Semi-Custom rings, we do NOT provide renders as the ring design is shown on the website and the final product will appear as shown or the substitutions/changes are very minor in our Semi-Customs like bridge substitutions.
